an unimportant play for those who are interested
Synopsis:
The Queen is directing a play on the edge. The Cards are furious, the Rabbit is jaded, but the Audience has already been invited - are there too many intermissions, is the marching band playing too loud, and are the Mad Hatter ushers a little too eager for a role?
In this Alice in Wonderland-themed, Waiting for Godot-like scenario, a mash-up of iconic monologues and unexpected detours invites participants to explore existential questions about the nature of theatre and what it takes to put on a ‘successful’ production.
First presented as staged reading workshop production on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Small World Music in Toronto, Ontario.
